Putting big names like Jason Wu, Madonna & The Super Bowl  in one category might seem strange, but that’s today’s reality. The highly anticipated Jason Wu for Target collection has been released, and while it doesn’t have the hype of Missoni, it does encompass sleek design and a better wearability factor than Missoni. While I of course love my bold Missoni prints, Wu’s work can be more much more often and has a classic chicness to it.

This afternoon we’ll all experience the whole Madonna performing at the Super Bowl thing…which just seems strange. What’s next? Lady Gaga at the Olympics? She is an icon and will draw attention, but I don’t know of many guys that are getting pumped to see her perform, I think it’s more a ploy to appeal to the females, which I don’t know that many that are really excited to see her either. Regardless, it’ll be much talked about and props to her for being the first female to headline the “big game” since Janet Jackson. Although, she wont be the only starlet on the field, Nicki Minaj, Cee-Lo Green, LMFAO & M.I.A will be there to appeal to America’s youth.

Now if you’re planning on watching the Super Bowl and are like me and don’t know a thing about sports, then peep this article aptly titled, “Smart, Sportsy Things For You To Say During Super Bowl XLVI” via The Awl.

Happy Sunday Funday!

In anticipation of the US debut of new UK-based shopping website,  Very.com I’ve entered a Very Big Blogger Photo Contest hyping the site’s launch. To vote for me please click here (I can win free clothes, which would be pretty ahhmazing).

If you’re not in the know, Very.com is already successful selling everything from clothing to furniture to home entertainment, and the face of their stateside endeavor is none other than The Hills alumna, Whitney Port. Well, she’s not exactly the face of Very, but she’s the face of their own line called Love Label and her line Whitney Eve is set to be sold on the site as well. Port looks so different in her ads (her hair is slight red), but I really like them.

Now I’m no model (or reality star), I decided to use a shot from the Kittinhawk shoot I did not too long ago for the blogger competition. I think it represents my feminine yet edgy style best. (full disclosure: I’ve also been super busy, so taking new shots wasn’t exactly happening).

again, please…

vote. vote. vote.

You can also vote more than once for other bloggers and their sweet style, which I encourage you to do!

Los Angeles Fashion Week

by Ami on 10/18/2011

(Not really a fan of this photo, but love the Urban Outfitters dress with the vintage heels)

I’m actually not going to be around for Los Angeles Fashion Week… I do love this glorious city and no, it’s not because I favor New York’s, it’s because I’m going on an exotic vacation and won’t be around. So, while everyone else is Tweeting & Twit-picing away, I’ll be kickin’ it in Espana noshing on tapas and savoring vino. I encourage you to follow the #LAFW events on Twitter. Of course, I did have to participate in something, so I made time to hang out with Kelsi & the Two Point Oh! LA fashion blogging crew at the organization’s annual pre-lafw party.

While this party has ended, these are still coming up…so check ‘em out! (yes, I’m biased of the 1st event.)
